Production Notes:

These page images were scanned, on March 15, 2001, by Jian Liu, Reference Librarian, Reference Department, Main Library E159, Indiana University Libraries (jiliu@Indiana.edu), for the League of Nations project.

Equipment included an Epson Expression 1600 scanner, attached, via the USB port, to a Dell Latitude laptop, with a Pentium III processor and 192MB ram. The software used for scanning is Adobe Photoshop 5.5, with SilverFast Ai (Version: SilverFast Epson v4.5.0 with IT-8 calibration, by LaserSoft Imaging. All images were scanned in 12 bit grayscale, in 400 dpi. After Prescan, the Focus icon was clicked.

All the images are saved in Tiff format. No other manipulation was applied to the scanned images.

Each of these files are about 10mb in size. The files are copied onto two CD-ROMs, using the CD-RW on the Dell laptop. The software is Adaptec DirectCD Wizard. The first CD-ROM, named album_lon-1, contains the original Tiff images from 005 to 040, including the two title pages and the preface. The second CD-ROM, named album_lon-2, contains the original Tiff images from 041 to 085.

For web display, the images were mass processed using Adobe Photoshop 6.0: File --> Automate --> Web Photo Gallery. The Gallery Images are set at 800 dpi, and the JPG Quality is set to High (8).

Recorded by Jian Liu on March 15, 2001.
